1.5 An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig

An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig

Aired: September 10, 1997

This is getting to the point where I can’t remember if I have seen these episodes before or not. The fact that I can’t remember tells me two things. 1. Some episodes slipped through the cracks over the years. 2. Some episodes weren’t that memorable even if I have seen them.

I am pretty sure this is where we meet Dr. Mephesto. I always remember him as being a funny character, but when it comes to recalling why I think he was funny, I come up with absolutely nothing. I did read that this episode was originally intended to be called an Elephant F***s a Pig but someone had an issue with that. Not surprising at all.

Character Score (Out of 3)

Stan – Composite: 2.05

Drew – 1.8: Stan was the subplot recipient again, a good role but very few laughs.

Matt – 2.3: Stan’s feud with his sister and the entire storyline with him and the clone they made of him made me laugh multiple times and I enjoyed Stan’s role here

Cartman – Composite: 2.7

Drew – 2.6: Cartman’s views on women were widely shared in this episode and it was non-stop laughs.

Matt – 2.8: The many times he said things about what he would say to a woman if she tried to do anything to him.

Kyle – Composite: 2.2

Drew – 2: Kyle and his science project were the focus of the episode. Some good laughs throughout the episode.

Matt – 2.2: Kyle is the one who had the elephant and the idea to breed the elephant with the pig.

Kenny – Composite: 1.1

Drew – 0.7: He mumbled, he died.

Matt – 1.5: Sounds like he tells Stan to have sex with his sister… Death: The Cartman clone begins to tear up Stan’s house and is swinging a chair and then hits Kenny with it. This sends Kenny flying into the microwave and turns it on. The clone is then killed. Kenny then falls out of the microwave and is burnt to a crisp.

Matt’s Review

Overall, this episode was enjoyable. It did end up having my first 0s so far, but the other categories made up for it. It made me laugh and it had a good story line. Stan’s clone and his feud with his sister made for him to have a quite humorous role in this episode. Kyle wanting to combine a pig and an elephant seemed to be the main story line and it made me chuckle. Obviously, Cartman had the one liners that make you literally laugh out loud. As a whole, this was a good episode.
